Green Signals
Green signals β when a clinic looks trustworthy
These are signs that a place is worth looking at more closely β not a guarantee of perfection, but a good start.
β The clinic immediately gives you the doctor's full name
You receive specific information: their specialisation and experience in the procedure you need β e.g. full crowns, implants, full mouth. They don't hide who will be working in your mouth.
A clinic that hides the doctor behind an agent often has a reason β e.g. rotating dentists, lack of experience in a specific procedure or too many patients per doctor.
β Written treatment plan before paying in full
You receive a detailed written treatment plan before paying: stages, dates, which teeth, what materials, how many visits and how many days on site. Everything in black and white.
Without a written plan you have nothing to refer to if problems arise. "Verbal promises" are worthless in a complaint.
β Online consultation with the DOCTOR, not just the agent
You have the option of an online consultation directly with the doctor who will perform the procedure. You can ask questions about risks, pain, complications β and receive answers from a specialist, not someone from the sales department.
An agent/coordinator cannot assess your case medically. If the clinic won't let you speak to the doctor before you travel, that's a serious warning signal.
β Clear, written complaints and warranty policy
There is a specific written policy: timelines, rules, what a correction covers, in what situations the clinic covers part of the costs. You don't have to guess or fight for basic information.
A clinic without a written complaints policy can say "there was no such agreement" at the moment you need help most.
β They openly discuss risks and complications
The clinic doesn't promise "zero problems". Instead they explain what risks the procedure carries and what they will do if something goes wrong. Honesty instead of fairy tales.
Every procedure carries risk. A clinic that says "we never have problems" is either lying or unaware of its own problems β and both are dangerous.
β They respond in a reasonable time, without brushing you off
They reply to messages promptly, communication is calm, specific and doesn't brush off questions. They don't ignore difficult topics or try to fob you off with generalities.
If a clinic doesn't answer questions BEFORE the procedure, imagine what it will be like AFTER, when a problem arises.
β They show X-rays, certificates and hygiene procedures
They readily show example X-rays, implant and crown certificates, inform you about hygiene and sterilisation procedures and clinic accreditations.
A professional clinic is proud of its standards and is happy to show them. If they hide certificates or avoid the topic of sterilisation β this is not a place where you want to be a patient.
β Not just "before/after" photos but also educational content
You see not only beautiful transformation photos, but also educational content: articles about treatment, explanatory videos, real patient stories β including the more difficult ones, not just perfect outcomes.
A clinic that educates patients treats them as partners in the treatment process. A clinic that only shows "wow effects" treats them as customers to close a sale.
Green signals are a good start, but not a guarantee. Even a clinic with many green signals can have weak points. That's why you should always check the red flags and ask questions from our checklist too. The full picture is the key to a good decision.
The more green signals, the better the start
But don't stop at the green signals β check the other side of the coin too. A good decision requires the full picture.
